A recent trend of Open Domain Question Answering research aims to respond to types of questions such as: causal, procedural, comparative or evaluative questions. These questions have not been studied in depth yet. In this paper a framework for answering 'why' question is presented. Furthermore, an architecture implementing this framework is introduced. It proposes the integration of preexisting NLP techniques into a system that is able to answer 'why' questions.
