In this talk, Karen and Romina will explore practical ways in which we can use everyday activities to maintain our physical health and functional independence. Karen will explore physical wellbeing and how finding something you love and sticking with can also help you form routines, friendships, and social connections  which in turn may enable you to maintain healthy habits whilst nurturing your overall wellbeing. 

 

Romina will delve into the crucial role nutrition plays in supporting brain health, sustaining energy levels, balancing hormones, and promoting cellular vitality as we age. Discover evidence-based nutritional recommendations and practical strategies to enhance cognitive function, bolster energy reserves, optimise hormonal balance, and safeguard cellular health. From nutrient-rich foods to essential lifestyle habits, learn how to empower yourself to thrive at every stage of life.

  

Karen Blagojevicis a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist for Older People and those with Neurological Conditions.  She has worked in this role for 20 years both within the NHS and the private sector and has extensive experience at establishing evidence-based clinical pathways.  Karen divides her time between delivering these services in the private sector, supporting charities and local community groups, and teaching. She is passionate about sharing learning with members of the community, using her down-to-earth style to engage the public, practitioners, patients, relatives, and carers.

 

Romina Melwani is an experienced Registered Nutritional Therapist and Mycotherapist practitioner specialising in immune, hormonal, brain, and digestive health. She lectures and presents educational material on key topics around the prevention and reversing of chronic disease and ageing. She is also the founder of The Nutrition Collective (www.nutritioncollective.co.uk), a high-impact educational community and platform for healthcare professionals. Her passion for nutrition and integrative medicine led her to build this educational community that can access cutting-edge knowledge from global experts, all the while making CPD accessible and affordable.
