This Forum offers a chance to hear the perspectives of employers and other key stakeholders on the development of skills in the workforce. Speakers include:

  • Larry Hirst, Chairman of IBM Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Chairman of e-Skills UK, who will draw on his national and international experience to provide further perspective on future skills needs within business, and how universities can address these needs.
  • Elisabeth Buggins, Chairman of the NHS West Midlands Strategic Health Authority, and a member of the newly formed National Leadership Council (NLC) for the NHS
  • Alistair Johnston, Global Vice Chairman of KPMG and Visiting Professor of Practice at Cass Business School, who will talk about his experience within KPMG of building an operating model to target particular business sectors.
