In the face of complex and global challenges, from climate change to food security and contagious disease, crowdsourcing, citizen science and gaming are increasingly becoming recognised as "cost-effective" ways of offering "high value to research, policy and practice". How can higher education recognise and support the next generation of socially-responsible researchers demanding post-disciplinary careers with social impact, not academic citations, as their currency? And, how can the public get in on the action? What are the challenges and opportunities for socially-responsible researchers opening the door to outside influences?
Join Erinma to be provoked, share perspectives and imagine the future of citizen-led social innovation. |
