Neural Patterns of Engagement
Analyzing levels of engagement with non-invasive brain-computer interfaces in order to improve learning experiences
Dr. Roberto Fernandez Martinez
This event took place on 2nd August 2013
Knowledge Media Institute, Berrill Building, The Open University, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, MK7 6AA
In this talk, Roberto Fernandez and Fridolin Wild report on first experiences with a brain scanner on the quest to observe cognitive affective states and the according level of engagement during learning. They report on two experiments with the first one focusing on the EEG-correlate of 'readability' as a proxy for cognitive load and with the second one zooming in on affect states.
