Dying Well - Dr Victoria Hedges and Dr Victoria Bradley

In this talk, Victoria Hedges and Victoria Bradley will present on what are the things we don’t talk about & preparing for our death and as a relative preparing for someone else’s death. We will also talk about ways we can take some of the control over our dying and the ways we can co-create our care plans.

 

Dr Victoria Hedges—Victoria works as a Consultant in Palliative Medicine at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and at Sobell House hospice in Oxford. She provides specialist advice for patients in a broad range of settings (including in the community and hospitals). She also works with the Oxford Kidney Unit, providing supportive care for patients and their families who are making complex decisions, such as stopping haemodialysis.

 

Dr Victoria Bradley – Victoria is a Consultant in and Clinical Lead for Palliative Medicine at The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Oxford.  She trained at the University of Cambridge and completed her junior training in London before relocating to Thames Valley where she has been a consultant since 2019
