Talk 10 We need to dispel the rhetoric in delivering inclusive health services for ethnic minority older people Rohini Sharma Joshi
Ageing Well Public Talks Series 23/24

This event took place on 19th June 2024 at 11:00am (10:00 GMT)

Why do ethnic minority older people continue to face barriers in accessing health services, despite the evidence from numerous research reports, as well as the recent disproportionately negative impact of COVID 19 pandemic? It must be acknowledged that providing inclusive services requires action from the lessons learned, not ongoing discussions.

Rohini Sharma Joshi, FCIH OBE - is the Diversity and Inclusion Manager at Age Scotland. Before joining Age Scotland in May 2021, Rohini worked in the housing sector for over thirty years and led and managed an award-winning Equality Programme with projects and initiatives which are recognised as examples of good practice. She sits on many equality advisory committees and operates at a strategic level, engaging regularly and effectively with government representatives and other bodies with a remit on equality and diversity issues.
