Creative engagement and co-design for inclusion
Dr Nicole Lotz

This event will take place on 15th October 2024 at 11:30am (10:30 GMT)
Knowledge Media Institute, Berrill Building, The Open University, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, MK7 6AA

This presentation explores the intersection of creativity, design and learning. Over the past decade, my research has focused on developing inclusive co-design methodologies that empower marginalised groups. Through a series of case studies, I will discuss various projects that have employed these approaches in diverse contexts. Examples include collaborations with FabLabs in Mexico, online social engagement initiatives, and co-designing educational programs with student partners at the Open University. These projects highlight the potential of creative engagement to promote inclusivity, drive social change, and address pressing societal challenges.
