This event took place on 26th January 2006 at 11:00am (11:00 GMT)
Berrill Lecture Theatre, The Open University, Walton Hall Campus, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom
The OU Virtual Learning Environment Development Programme OUVLE is developing a virtual learning environment (VLE) for the University which will provide an integrated, high quality online learning experience for students across the full range of subject areas and curriculum, flexibly supporting a range of pedagogical approaches through a common interface and a combination of tools and services. The OU VLE will develop iteratively to meet changing needs and also facilitate the provision of new learning opportunities and delivery to national and global markets.

The seminar will be of interest to those who are involved in curriculum design and development and teaching and learning delivery solutions and who want to see how the VLE development programme activities may facilitate new learning opportunities, support programmes of study, and assist teachers.
