Children and social work: The evidence of well-being?

This lecture draws together several themes around social work and the well-being of vulnerable children that have permeated Jane’s work over the last 40 years. The lecture explores the connections between children’s development, relationships with their families and the quality of social work services. A passionate advocate of evidence based social work practice, grounded in research and theory, Jane will draw on her own research to show how the views of children and families are central to improving services. She will also demonstrate how research can be used to in policy and practice to advance children’s well-being.
