Introducing S288 Practical Science

Nick Braithwaite, academic leader of the S288 team will launch the 2014 presentation with a short Laboratory Webcast featuring four simple experiments inspired by a thermos flask and a bit of rock, demonstrating measurement, observation and hypothesis. This "Labcast" will complement the other online practical activities that feature in the S288 Modules: immersive screen environments, interactive screen experiments, remotely controlled lab apparatus (robotic controlled telescope, remotely operated lab apparatus). There are five modules in the S288 suite: Chemistry and Analysis (SXC288); Environmental Science (SXE288); Earth and Environment (SXG288); Biology and Health (SXL288) and Physics and Astronomy (SXP288).
